Richard has over 15 years experience in leading and managing organizations across East Africa having joined Internet Solutions in 2015 from Finlays Horticulture where he was Managing Director.
Since taking over leadership, he has been responsible for integrating and growing the Internet Solutions business previously listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) in East Africa (Uganda, Rwanda and awaiting licensing in Tanzania). To answer to an aggressive growth strategy mapped out two years ago upon AccessKenya Group’s acquisition by the Dimension Data Group.
He has since been aligning the human capital under IS Kenya, harmonizing administrative functions of the business, Brand Equity consolidation and now gearing up for the final phase - official rebrand to Internet Solutions Kenya.
Richard has been instrumental in the adoption of a new business strategy that has since witnessed the company exit the home market to concentrate on the corporate segment while adopting a solutions oriented approach that layers VAS (Value Add Services) on connectivity to deliver on a wider product offering.
Maina has over 18 years experience having previously worked for Prime Insurance Ltd – Rwanda as Chief Marketing and Sales Officer.
He leads the company’s sales segment, with a focus on driving revenues, accelerating growth and enhancing IS Kenya’s strategic capabilities.
A holder of a Masters in Strategic Management (and pursuing a PhD in the same), Maina’s expertise is in business management and strategy development drawn from holding senior positions in Sales, Marketing and Customer Service.
A certified Public Accountant and holder of a Masters degree in Business Administration, Peter has 19 years of experience in Financial Management.
Prior to joining IS Kenya, Peter was the head of Corporate Finance in charge of Credit Control, Taxation, Fuel Hedging, Procurement, Treasury and Corporate Finance at Kenya Airways. Having previously worked with Kenya Shell Limited, Uganda Shell Limited and PriceWaterHouse Coopers.
With over 15 years of experience in customer service, Alice has built emphasis and focus in the development of service delivery for client satisfaction. Over the years, she has enhanced performance management, employee development and retention capacity, building the Customer Service function as a key pillar of the business.
Alice was previously with Airtel Kenya where she served as the Customer Service Support Manager, mainly responsible for implementation of service strategy, performance improvement and projects management. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a postgraduate diploma in marketing.
With 18 years experience designing IT network architecture, IT engineering and IT team management, Raymond heads the Planning, Research and Development division; a key component in the operations of the Network, Data Centres and System technologies for Internet Solutions in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
Having grown from a Systems Administrator through to a Network Manager in his 14 year stay with the business, Raymond has achieved M.A.S.S (Manageability, Availability, Scalability, Security) in every facet of IT infrastructure, systems and processes.
A graduate of Arts, Economics and administration: Raymond is also a Cisco ® Certified Design Associate (CCDA) and Network Associate (CCNA).
With the expansion of IS into the greater East Africa region, he has been offering strategic technical insight, development and deployment of new networks for revenue assurance.
As the HR Director, Ruth is looking at culture development, internal engagement and talent development element of the business in readiness for a rebrand. Under her guidance, the company is already adopting a people driven decision making model, therefore driving ownership.
With over 8 Years of experience providing guidance and leadership to senior managers in growth and transitioning environments, she has gained specialty in employee relations, talent acquisition and retention, skilling and Client Relations.
Prior to joining Internet Solutions, Ruth supported Saham Assurance through acquisition and stabilization through to a rebrand period.
Ruth earned her Masters in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi and a Commerce Degree (Human Resource Option) from the Catholic University. She is a holder of Certified Public Secretaries – (CPS Section 1).
Ndungu looks after the planning, deployment and maintenance of connectivity across the country's capitals while growing network capacity and within stipulated regulatory parameters.
With over 15 years experience in execution of infrastructure projects; their deployment and maintenance, he started off as an information Manager at the Alliance Group in South Africa, before taking up the role of a system integrator. Later setting up the company’s first call centre team which generated over ten per cent of additional revenue within the first year of operation.
A holder of an MSc in e-Business Strategy and Systems from the University of Liverpool and a graduate of the University of Leeds, Ndungu has been developing strategies to grow the network capacity to match a growing market that now covers the greater East Africa region.
With over 13 years experience in sales, revenue delivery, product development and customer experience, Diana looks after client retention in existing markets, while managing operations and driving growth in new markets – with a special focus on building revenue.
Prior to the role, she was responsible for the strategy and planning of the Revenue team that transformed the client retention model for the business growing the gross revenue and profitability. Having grown from the Head of Retail & Marketing, and later the Head of Distribution.
Diana holds an MBA in Strategic Management and a degree in Economics and Sociology from the University of Nairobi.
